也就说 OS X 的原名为 Mac OS X ，后缀 X 代表版本 10 ，所以如果只是 OS X 并不知道是什么系统，加上前缀 Mac 则更好的限定名词的范围，限定为 Mac 下的系统第十版本

@blueandhack 来源是这么说没问题大家都知道，可以 OS X 现在不需要加上这么个前缀来限定名词范围了吧，至少在 Apple 节点下没有第二个 OS X ，况且苹果自己从 10.8 开始也就不再加 Mac 这个前缀了：

苹果注册了两个 Mac OS 和 OS X

从下面的文档可以看出，苹果对自己产品的自述看得出来，他们使用 Mac OS X ，而非简写为 OS X

所以综上所述， V2EX 采用 Mac OS X 有这些原因

感谢提供的资料，但我感觉这些文档这样做也许是出于严谨的需要，在社区中无论是国内的知乎还是国外的 Quora 、 Reddit 都以 OS X 代替了 Mac OS X ，我认为在严谨性没有那么必要的社区，适当简化名词是一种惯用的做法。就像「 GNU/Linux 」虽然比 Linux 更加严谨，但是大家还是会习惯以「 Linux 」来称呼它。
