Job Summary
Red Hat Insights team is seeking a software engineer to contribute to Red Hat's latest, industry-leading, SaaS-based modern infrastructure management product. On this role, you will be working with a lot of talented engineers, product owners, and Red Hat domain experts from around the world wide.
The ideal individual should be proactive, creative, self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced, distributed environment.


Primary Job Responsibilities
Deep problem research through reading knowledge base, analyzing problem records, recreating problem scenarios and communicating with domain experts.

Write code to identify potential problems from a running system, enterprise Linux, OpenStack, docker, middleware platform, etc.

Be actively involved in product design, development, troubleshooting, documentation

Use technologies that are appropriate for the platform.

Collaborate with other developers across GEOs


Required Skills
General knowledge of Linux, being strong in one of the fields: kernel, networking, storage, virtualization, memory management is preferred.

Knowledge and experience with OpenStack and docker is a plus.

Extensive experience in scripting languages Python or Shell is preferred.
