ability? function? feature? 似乎都不合适。

当然这句话可以翻译成 "This editor could not highlight syntax."，可我还是想知道“功能”具体该翻译成什么呢。

说明 feature 主要还是用来形容有区别性特点的功能，翻译通常而言的功能不大合适。
