Nodejs + 传统数据库不可以吗？思维定势？还是说新技术就要和新技术一起使用？

JS 写前端, JS 写后端, JS 写数据库, 省得同时用好几种语言.
传统数据库完全是可以搭配的

JavaScript 的缘故。我记得 MongoDB 的命令也是用 JavaScript 的语法的。
NodeJS 可以跟非 NoSQL 的数据库打交道。我的项目选择 MongoDB 的原因是因为这数据库自带 REST 接口，很方便开发 iOS 客户端获取数据。NodeJS 负责网站前端。
